We are convinced that God has forgiven us everything out of pure love – completely undeserved. God knew we would never be able to answer for our sins ourselves. He knew we could never be made righteous by our own deeds, so he made us an incredibly gracious offer: he sent us his Son Jesus Christ to pay for our guilt in our place and to suffer the punishment we deserved. Because of this we are acquitted of all guilt, even though every single one of us is guilty. That is true mercy and pure love! All we still need to do is accept this gift of grace. Let's meet the people around us with the same attitude, tell them about this heavenly grace and set off waves of mercy and grace.
