Church T-Shirts: Process, Prices and Timeline for Group Shirts

Church T-shirts and other group shirts for your church, youth camp or team are available from Good-Natured from 25 pieces, freely combinable across T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, sweaters, tote bags and socks. An organic cotton T-shirt with two single-colour prints starts at €15.00 net per piece. With a finished design, your items arrive after around seven to eight weeks; with a sample and a joint design process, after about 11 to 16 weeks.

1. What you get from us

Products: T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, sweaters, tote bags and socks. We develop custom cuts from 100 pieces.

Materials: GOTS-certified organic cotton or recycled polyester in fabric weights from 160 to 350 g/m², from a light summer shirt to a heavy hoodie. The socks are made in Saxony, Germany, from GOTS-certified cotton.

Finishing: screen printing, digital printing, transfer printing, flex printing, embroidery and woven-in designs. Whether embroidery or print is the better fit depends mainly on the design: embroidery looks especially high-quality on small, clean logos, while screen printing is the durable choice for larger areas.

2. Minimum order: from 25 pieces, freely combinable

The 25 pieces can be split across different products, for example 15 shirts and 10 hoodies. A youth group, worship team or confirmation class usually reaches that on its own. You can reorder at any time later without a minimum, for new volunteers or next year’s group.

3. What do church T-shirts cost?

Prices are calculated individually and depend on quantity and finishing. As a guide, here are our price examples, each net per piece including two single-colour prints, plus VAT and shipping (from 50 / from 100 pieces):

Socks (made in Germany, GOTS-certified cotton): €7.50 from 50 pairs, €7.00 from 100, €6.50 from 300, €6.15 from 500 and €5.80 from 1,000 pairs.

4. Three packages: as much support as you need

Basic: You have the design. We produce your finished design and deliver to one address. On request we digitise hand sketches for €25.

Standard: We design with you. You get two designs from us, and one is finalised together. A physical sample is available beforehand on request. The design fee is €350.

Premium: We take care of everything. Two designs, optional sample, from 100 pieces your own cut, fabric and Pantone colour, plus your own online shop where your church orders directly. Delivery to one address or individually to everyone. Costs come with the quote.

In every package we support you personally throughout the whole process, agree colours and printing with you, produce fairly and ship carbon-neutral. Package costs are added to the product prices.

6. How much lead time do you need?

With a finished design around seven to eight weeks; with sample and design process about 11 to 16 weeks. That applies up to 100 pieces; above that, add around two weeks. The best approach is to count back from your target date and get in touch sooner rather than later.

For a camp at the end of July, that means: with a finished design, your request should go out by the end of May. If the design is to be created with us, it is best to get in touch in March. How the shirts fit into the overall plan for a camp is shown in the article Organising a church retreat.

7. What to include in your request

For your own designs, we provide templates for Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Affinity Designer, Canva, Inkscape, GIMP and Figma, or to print out for hand sketches.

8. Three tips so the shirts actually get worn

Ask for sizes early. Send a size chart with measured values and set a deadline ahead of the real one. A small buffer in the common sizes helps with the size distribution for latecomers.

No date on the design. A shirt meant to be worn for longer than a weekend works without a date. The same rule applies to merch for schools and graduating classes: year yes, date no. Good design ideas are usually simple: a small motif on the chest gets worn more often than a big slogan.

Decide together. Whoever helped choose the design will wear it.
