Heavenly Mindset

Our mindset absolutely determines our everyday lives. With our thoughts, we set a focus in our lives, give space to either fear or trust, can still show faithfulness in the face of infidelity, and act lovingly even when confronted with hatred. Knowing God's truth is therefore crucial!
The apostle Paul writes that we should focus our entire lives on the heavenly world (Colossians 3:1). By this, he doesn't mean that we should be indifferent to the world, but that we should align our lives with heavenly truths – God is a holy and glorious God, and Jesus came to earth for us, died for our sins, and conquered death for us so that we too can live and spend eternity in his presence. It's important to align ourselves with this, while not losing sight of this world. We don't want to be daydreamers; rather, we want to spread this good news with our eyes fixed on Jesus. We approach our daily lives with a Heavenly Mindset that is fully oriented towards Jesus. We are beloved children of God, blessed to have the Holy Spirit at our side, and we bring heaven into this world!
 

Colossians 3:1-4

If you have been raised with Christ to a new life, set your minds on God's heavenly realms. Look to where Christ is, in the place of honor at God's right hand. Set your minds on God's heavenly realms, not on this earthly realm. For to these realms you died, but God raised you with Christ to a new life, even though this is now hidden. But when Christ, your life, appears, everyone will see that you share in his glory.
