Our mindset shapes our everyday life completely. With our thoughts we set the focus of our lives, give room to either fear or trust, can still show faithfulness in the face of unfaithfulness, and act lovingly even when we are confronted with hate. So knowing God's truth is crucial!
The apostle Paul writes that we should set our minds completely on the heavenly world (Colossians 3:1). He doesn't mean that we shouldn't care about the world, but that we should align our lives with heavenly truths – God is a holy and glorious God, and Jesus came to earth for us, died for our sins and defeated death for us, so that we too may live and spend eternity in his presence. It's important to align ourselves with this and still not lose sight of this world. We don't want to be daydreamers – we want to carry this good news further with our eyes fixed on Jesus. We face everyday life with a Heavenly Mindset that is fully focused on Jesus. We are beloved children of God, we know the Holy Spirit is by our side, and we carry heaven into this world!
